Each one laid out the way the generator will lay it: a 5×5 field with its nine-slice edge all the way round, sitting on the terrain it goes over. If the border does not meet the middle, the nine-slice rows are wrong — which they were, because these blobs look four rows tall and are three.
Full colour inside the declared rectangle; grey outside it; red outside but joined to something inside. Red touching the object along an edge is a roof carrying on and the cut is wrong. Red as a separate mass alongside is the next building and the cut is right. Every edge statistic scores those two the same, which is why they never caught anything.
